It’s been a big week in luxury — and if you have any interest in statement bags, fire-coloured heels, or recovering from race-day excitement with a 105-minute facial, you’re going to want to read on. Here’s everything that just dropped in style.
Rimowa Just Made Its First Leather Bags — and They’re Very Much Worth Your Attention
Rimowa has spent decades perfecting the hard-sided suitcase. Now, for the first time, the German brand is stepping into soft goods — and the result is exactly what you’d expect from a house this meticulous. The new Groove collection launched on September 22 and comes in four designs: two sizes of cross-body bag, a hobo bag, and a shopping bag.
The defining detail is the grooved and pleated surface — a direct nod to Rimowa’s iconic aluminium cases, translated into supple Italian leather. Every bag is stamped with the brand’s logo on the outside and finished with a custom rivet logo plate on the inside. It feels like a Rimowa. It just happens to be soft.
The hobo bag ($2,700) is the most practical of the four — it fits a 13-inch laptop, has an adjustable strap that converts between shoulder and cross-body wear, and comes with a detachable leather pouch. The shopping bag ($2,870) shares that same pouch and, like the hobo, has a handle designed to clip neatly onto any Rimowa suitcase for the full matching travel set.
The most playful piece is the cross-body ($1,600–$2,360), shaped like a miniature suitcase complete with shiny palladium hardware. It works as a shoulder bag, a cross-body, or a handheld clutch depending on how you wear the strap. Colour options include classic black alongside seasonal shades of silver, pink, burgundy, and green.
Christian Louboutin Has a Very Fast, Very Fiery F1 Capsule Collection
The Singapore Grand Prix has a way of pulling luxury brands into its orbit, and this year Christian Louboutin is fully in the race. Its limited-edition F1 Racing collection — featuring bold yellow and crimson flame motifs across every piece — landed at the brand’s Ion Orchard boutique on September 22. It’s the only store in Asia stocking the collection, making it a proper exclusive.
The four-piece capsule includes a peep-toe mule ($1,700) in black patent leather — a reworked version of Louboutin’s classic Pin Up style with a 120mm stiletto heel that’s a full 20mm higher than usual. Then there’s a pointy-toed pump ($1,600) with a clever silhouette that creates the illusion of an even higher heel than it actually has. The sneakers ($1,600) take a different direction entirely — a reinvention of 1980s tennis shoes, roughened up with the house’s signature gunmetal spikes on the toe cap and the same explosive flame graphics across the body.
Rounding out the collection is a glossy leather clutch ($2,400) with a detachable chain strap and the brand’s CL badge. And naturally — because it’s Louboutin — every single shoe has a red sole.
Elemis and Aston Martin Aramco Want You to Relax Between Races
Not everyone at the Singapore Grand Prix is there to watch the cars go around. Some people are there for the paddock, the parties, and — apparently — the spa. British luxury skincare brand Elemis has partnered with Aston Martin Aramco’s Formula One team to bring a series of wellness experiences to race season, and they’re genuinely impressive.
The headline offering is an “spa-cation” package available exclusively to guests staying in club rooms or suites at five hotels: Pan Pacific Singapore, Parkroyal Collection Marina Bay, Parkroyal Collection Pickering, Parkroyal on Beach Road, and Pan Pacific Orchard. A minimum two-night stay (from $630 per night) gets you a 105-minute recovery treatment at the St Gregory spa — a 75-minute facial plus either a body scrub or back massage — alongside a limited-edition Elemis x Aston Martin Aramco skincare set worth $175, an amenity kit worth $160, and full all-day club lounge access with daily breakfast, afternoon tea, and evening cocktails. Bookings are open September 18 to October 19 for stays between September 19 and October 20.
If you’re not a hotel guest, Elemis is also running a pop-up at Ion Orchard from September 30 to October 7 — skincare samples, race car photo opportunities, and the chance to win a year’s worth of Elemis products. On race days (October 3–5), guests inside the Aston Martin Aramco Paddock Club Suite get complimentary hand and facial treatments at Elemis stations within the VIP clubhouse.
Paragon Is Turning 25 — and Rewarding Shoppers to Celebrate
Orchard Road’s Paragon mall is marking its 25th anniversary with a month-long celebration running until October 31. The centrepiece is an atrium exhibition curated by entrepreneur and academic Nadya Wang, spotlighting 25 remarkable individuals from Singapore’s business and creative communities — including Breadtalk Group’s George Quek and Jonathan Quek, jewellery founders Jean and Jessica Nasr, chef-artist Janice Wong, and content creators Dianna Lee and Erica Zhao.
For shoppers, the rewards are tangible. Paragon Club members earn 50 bonus points (worth $20) on daily spends of $500 or more, 250 points ($100) for $2,500 spent in a week, and 2,500 points ($1,000) for $25,000 in a month. Parking fees are also being waived on the 25th of every month through December — a small but genuinely appreciated perk.
