Antoni Porowski Gives the Most Cryptic Answer Yet About Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s Wedding

The mystery surrounding Taylor Swift’s wedding to Travis Kelce only seems to deepen with each passing week, and the latest twist comes courtesy of one of the pop star’s longtime friends. Questions about when the famous couple will tie the knot, and who will be there to see it, remain frustratingly unanswered, in part because their inner circle appears determined to give nothing away.

The newest friend to gracefully duck the topic is Queer Eye’s Antoni Porowski, who turned a simple question into a masterclass in playful deflection.

A Master Class in Dodging the Question

Appearing on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on June 1, the Canadian chef and television personality was asked by a caller whether he’d managed to snag an invite to Swift and Kelce’s upcoming nuptials.

Rather than confirm or deny anything, Porowski leaned into mock surprise. He responded as if hearing the news for the first time, joking that he should really send some flowers or a note of congratulations now that he knew they were getting married.

Host Andy Cohen wasn’t buying it. Seizing on the fact that Porowski had cleverly avoided actually answering, Cohen joked to the audience that the non-answer was as good as a confirmation, declaring that it meant he was definitely going.

A Friendship Built on Music and Meatballs

While Porowski stayed mum on the wedding itself, he was far more forthcoming about his friendship with Swift, including a memorable meal she once made for him.

He revealed that the best thing she ever cooked for him was an Ottolenghi recipe for meatballs. He described the dish as really delicious and credited it with inspiring him to start using more herbs in his own cooking, leading him toward what he called green meatballs.

The two go back years. Porowski appeared alongside Swift in her 2019 music video for “You Need to Calm Down,” joining the rest of the Queer Eye Fab Five. At the time, he shared on Instagram that the pair bonded over their mutual love of the band The National. Their connection actually predates that, too. He was reportedly considered for a role in her “Blank Space” video back in 2014, and although he didn’t land the part, the two later crossed paths through mutual friends.

His warmth toward the couple is no act. Back in 2023, Porowski told People he couldn’t be happier for Swift and Kelce, expressing hope that they would simply stay happy and savor every moment together. He was also among the guests at Swift’s 34th birthday party that December.

Why Everyone’s Staying So Quiet

Porowski’s careful response fits a pattern that has defined the lead-up to this wedding. Multiple reports suggest the couple is going to great lengths to keep the event private, and that they’re counting on their friends to help protect that secrecy. One source told People that the celebration would be a private affair rather than a spectacle, noting that both have a close-knit circle of friends who respect their privacy.

That discretion has turned into something of a running theme, with friend after friend tactfully sidestepping questions:

  • Suki Waterhouse has confirmed she’s officially attending, making her a rare exception.
  • Kelce’s sister-in-law, Kylie Kelce, claimed in January that she didn’t even know if the wedding would happen this year.
  • His mother, Donna Kelce, kept things vague but revealed she hadn’t signed an NDA because the couple trusts her to keep a secret.
  • Swift’s longtime collaborator Jack Antonoff also avoided the subject earlier this month.
  • Even Prince William has had to field questions, though he did hint that he’d received an invitation.

The Bottom Line

With the couple keeping a tight lid on details and their friends following suit, the public is left piecing together clues from coy interviews and playful non-answers. Porowski’s appearance was just the latest reminder that, for now, the people closest to Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are happy to keep the world guessing. Whether that’s loyalty, discretion, or simply good fun, it’s working, because the questions are still very much swirling.
