Margaret Qualley and Jack Antonoff Reportedly Split After Nearly Three Years of Marriage

The Margaret Qualley and Jack Antonoff split has reportedly ended the marriage of one of entertainment’s notable power couples, with sources describing a “rocky” period in their relationship. The news arrives just days after Antonoff attended a high-profile wedding without his wife by his side.

The Reported Separation

Actor Margaret Qualley, 31, known for “The Substance” and “Maid,” and music producer Jack Antonoff, 42, a frequent collaborator with Taylor Swift and Lorde, have reportedly gone their separate ways for now.

A source confirmed to People on Wednesday that the pair had split and were navigating a rocky stretch. Representatives for both Qualley and Antonoff did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

How the Speculation Started

Rumors of trouble began circulating late Tuesday. Internet sleuths noticed that Qualley, the daughter of actor Andie MacDowell and Paul J. Qualley, appeared to have removed photos of the Bleachers frontman from her Instagram page.

Back in March, Qualley had shared images from her marriage to Antonoff to help promote his upcoming song “Dirty Wedding Dress,” according to a fan account dedicated to the actress. Those intimate black-and-white photos are reportedly no longer visible on his page either, fueling the separation talk.

A Wedding Without Her

The timing added to the intrigue. Reports of the split came less than a week after Antonoff attended Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s lavish, closely guarded wedding celebration in New York City without Qualley.

The Madison Square Garden event drew a star-studded crowd, including:

  • Antonoff’s fashion designer sister, Rachel Antonoff
  • His ex-girlfriend Lena Dunham
  • Models Gigi Hadid and Karlie Kloss
  • Sabrina Carpenter, Ashanti, and Nelly

Dunham’s presence carried its own subtext. In her recent memoir “Famesick,” released in April, she wrote about Antonoff’s alleged romance with an unnamed “teen pop star” during their own relationship, a figure many fans have speculated to be Lorde. When those rumors first surfaced in 2018, Antonoff denied seeing anyone and brushed off the chatter as, in his words, “dumb heteronormative gossip.”

A Look Back at Their Romance

Qualley and Antonoff married in August 2023, a little over a year after their May 2022 engagement. Their wedding at Parker’s Garage on Long Beach Island drew an A-list guest list that included Cara Delevingne, Lana Del Rey, then-couple Zoë Kravitz and Channing Tatum, and Swift.

The two were first romantically linked in August 2021, when they were spotted kissing during a date in Brooklyn. Their relationship gradually became public through Instagram posts, joint red-carpet appearances, and glimpses shared in interviews.

At the height of their romance, Qualley spoke warmly about the relationship. In a September 2023 interview, she said she was overjoyed to have found her person, describing the connection as real and amazing, and expressing a sense of excitement and ease all at once.

For now, neither party has publicly commented in detail, leaving fans to piece together the story from the quiet digital clues that first sparked the speculation.
